It is with profound sadness that the family of Emma Lentz announce her passing on December 18, 2024, at the age of 87 after a long journey with dementia.
She leaves to mourn, her children: Wally (Christine), John (Karen), Harvey (Kathy), Carolyn (Michael), and Debbie (Don); 9 grandsons; Tom (Teri), Ethan, Bryan (Bryan), Jesse (Emma), Jacob, Matthaus (Robyn), Trew, Colton (Cate) and Cory; 4 great grandchildren: Blake, Cameron, Shade and Alder. She is also survived by her brother Albert and numerous other extended family.
Emma was deeply devoted to her faith and is now resting in the arms of her Lord. And while we will miss her beyond words, there is comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who predeceased her: husband Gottfried; parents Johannes and Elizabeth Maier; her brother Herb; daughter Rosemary; and many other relatives and friends.
Her family would like to thank all those who provided care over the years, especially Dr. Coulson who was her physician for many years leading up to her placement in dementia care. Most recently, the care and compassion Mom received at Venta Care Centre will always be remembered with gratitude and appreciation.
A Funeral Service is to take place on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church in Westlock.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, 10430 61 Ave NW #306, Edmonton, AB T6H 1M4.
