Freda Louisa Patricia McConaghy

With loving remembrance and saddened hearts, the family of Freda McConaghy of Busby, AB announces her passing on March 7, 2025 at the age 98 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tom of 78 years; three children: Maureen (Wayne), Ian (Linda), and Kerry (Darlene); ten grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Frieda was an only child born in London, England and moved to Canada as a “War Bride” in 1947. She settled in the Busby area where she learned to be a farmer’s wife.Frieda was a member of the W.I., the Little Echo 4H Club and the St. Phillips Anglican Church. She lived in her home until the age of 97 years and then moved to Smithfield Lodge.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Phillips Anglican Church, 9843-105 St., Westlock, AB. 

The family would like to thank the nurses on East Wing at the Westlock Healthcare Centre for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
