Hugh Busby Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Hugh Busby announces his passing on Aug 6, 2018, shortly after his 88th birthday. Hugh was born July 17, 1930, right on the farm (Pembina-Woodmore district) where he grew up, worked, and raised his son, Cal Busby. He cleared most of his homestead by hand with his brother. Hugh also worked up in the Arctic for 9 winters running heavy equipment. A man of impeccable integrity, Hugh was a hard working, loving, caring devoted family man. He was very much loved and will be deeply missed.

Hugh is survived by his son, Cal (Kristy); his daughter, Rose (Robert); three grandchildren: Victoria, Brandi, Travis; four great grandchildren: Amber, Izabella, Elias, Kyle; nephews, nieces, as well as other relatives and many friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; sister, Lucy (Bob) Walker; brother, Leonard (Margaret) Busby.

Hugh’s wishes were to be cremated and no funeral service. His family is respecting his wishes.
