Ilse Anna Melzer

With loving remembrance, the family of Mrs. Ilse Melzer of St. Albert, Alberta, formerly of Flatbush, Alberta, announce her passing on May 18, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Mom is survived by her children: Dedi (Sandra), Heike, Joanne, Dirk, Mark (Sandy), Shelley (Rob) and Jody (Raymond); seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Karla (James); and numerous relatives.

Ilse was predeceased by her husband (Joe) in 2023; son (Buddy) in 1979; son-in-law (Doug) in 2017; and her brother (Gerhard) in 1988.

No funeral service will be held as per Mom’s wishes.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Unit 15 (Medicine) of the Sturgeon Hospital for their excellent care and compassion that they showed Mom and the family.
