John Derksen


John Derksen passed away peacefully at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre, surrounded by family, on December 8 at the age of 89. He has left to cherish his memory his wife, Judy, of 62 1/2 years, children Doug, Sherry, Kevin, and Sandy (Ron), 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, brothers Henry and Abe, and sisters Kathy and Susan. As well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends.

He is predeceased by his son, Jim; son-in-law, Ed; parents, Abe and Maria; sister, Mary; and brothers, Dave, Pete, Jake and George.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Jarvie Community Centre, Jarvie, AB

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the doctors, especially Dr. de Waal, and to all the nurses at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre for the kindness, love, and support they have shown to our dad and our family during this time.
