Little Giant of the Crane World

Marcel John Boutin was born in Westlock, Alberta on May 22, 1959, and passed away peacefully at the age of 64 on February 10, 2024 in the Westlock Continuing Care Center.

Marcel worked his whole life in the Crane Business and will never be forgotten. The Boom is Up, the Rigging Down, the Crane Days are Laid to Rest.

With all the memories LEGENDS NEVER DIE.

Marcel is survived by his children Kathleen and Nancy and their families; sisters, Caroline (Leo); Irene (Peter); brother, Greg (Donna); sisters-in-law Jeannette and Cathy (Len);  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Kathy; parents Leo and Margaret Boutin; brothers: Robert and Dennis; nieces, Jeanelle and Mya; nephew, Rick.

As per Marcel’s wishes, a funeral service will not be held. A private celebration will take place at a later date.
