With heartfelt sorrow, the family of Olive Estelle Doucet announces her passing on October 30th, at the age of 82 years at the Foyer Lacombe Hospice surrounded by family.
Olive is survived by her husband, Marcel, married 57 years and their four children, Guy (Candice) and their children Simon, Sophie and Isabelle, Gisèle (Dale), Diane and her son Samuel and Paul (Erica)and their children Olivia and Iris.
Olive is also survived by her sisters Lucille and Gloria, her brothers Émile (Cathie) and David (Karen) and by many nieces and nephews, Thomas (Lori) and their children Colton and Zachary, Denis (Sandra) and their children Matthew, Aaron and Kaitlin, Marc (Kelly) and their Children, Hillary (Peter) and Rowan, Jake, Michelle (Todd) and their children Trent (Camille) and Jocelyn, Paul David (Karrie)and his children Israel, Eleanor,Bethany, and their mother Cathy Glass Mercier, Armand (Carol) and his children Benoît and Étienne and Kevin (Erin), Scott (Kristy-Anne), Jason (Rita) and his children Jesse and Nathan, Christopher (Marly) and their children Samuel and Miles, Dayna her children Ava and Vienna, Luc (Kararose) and Tavek , Barry (Melissa) and their children Emerson and Callum, Laura Lynn (Zach).
Also remembered by brother in law Jean-Paul (Doris) their children Daniel (Jacquie), Robert(Joelle), Marc (Jodi), brother in law André (Jacquie) and their children Alain and Nicole and sister in law Vivianne (Verne), and their children Chad ( Deea ), Cheryl (Rob), Tyler ( Kimberley) and daughter-in-law Tara Merriman
Olive was predeceased by her son Jacques (2020), her parents Denis (1966) and Irène (Breault) (1994), her brother and sister-in-law Réal (1992) (Raymonde Préfontaine ) (2016) and her sister and brother-in-law Henriette(2013) (Marcel Labonté) (2015),brother-in-law Les Prescott (2020), nephews David Sylvestre (2000) and Curtis Merriman (2021).
Remembered as well by numerous friends and extended family.
Olive will always be remembered as a loving, attentive caregiver to the many children she looked after in her day home from 1976-2015. She always had time to help her three educator children prepare for the coming school years and she was an avid gardener with a passion for flowers especially her roses!

Mass of Celebration will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 7th, 2025, at the St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Ave. St. Albert, AB.
