On September 28, 2026, Albert Calkins was peacefully called to his heavenly home. We find comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved son, Colin, whom he has missed dearly for the past 14 years.
Albert was cherished by Evelyn, his loving wife of 35 years, daughters Coreen (Craig) and Colleen (Paul), as well as Evelyn’s children Sandi (Rick), Will (Shaune-Marie) and Carla. Albert leaves a legacy of 25 grandchildren (including spouses) and 12 great grandchildren. Albert is also survived by siblings Fred, Bob, Mike, Denis, Rita and their families.
In addition to spending time with his family, Albert found joy in many activities. Camping and fishing, traveling, spending time at the farm, working in and serving his community, and sharing church fellowship all brought meaning and fulfillment to his life.
Those who knew Albert will deeply miss his unwavering love for his family, his mischievous spirit and sense of humour, his generosity, and the gentle and caring heart that lay beneath his gruff exterior.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Albert’s immediate family at a later date.
