When a death occurs away from home, or a family wishes to hold the funeral elsewhere, we prepare your loved one and arrange their transfer.
Our Process of Care
Receiving your loved one into our care
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whatever the hour, we arrange the transfer of your loved one into our care and complete the documentation that goes with it.
Meeting with your Funeral Director
We set an arrangement time that works best for your family, then guide you through each decision and contact the church, clergy, musicians, hall, caterer and cemetery on your behalf.
Preparation for travel
If your loved one is transported across a provincial boundary, embalming is required by law. We prepare them with care and complete the documentation the journey needs.
Registration and documentation
We register the death with Vital Statistics, obtain the death certificate and permits, notify the Canada Pension Plan and help you apply for the CPP Death Benefit and any Survivorship Benefit.
